Master Akash Acharya

AKASH ACHARYA is an ardent music lover.  He has been a disciple of  Vidwan Kanchana Narayan Bhat a reputed Guru in Carnatic Classical Music.  Started learning Carnatic music at his age of 10.  He had the passion for listening CDs of by great musicians since early childhood.

Akash has been awarded the 3rd prize in National Level Carnatic Classical Music competition conducted by Raghdhana at Udupi.  (in post-Trinity category).  Akash has passed Junior level Carnatic Classical Music (solo Singing) during the year 2006 in the Exam conducted by Secondary Educational Board Bangalore.

Secured 1st Prize in General Quiz and Folk song category of Pratibha Karanji contest.

He is a flute artist learning under the guidance of Vidwan Sri Badakkila Venkappayya who himself is a great exponent of flute.

Underwent Tabla education from K N Moorthy, an internationally acknowledged Tabla artist. Light Music is his another liking.  Mr.Natraj Sharma a radio Artist is the teacher.

Akash has been making right moves in chess and has won:

1. ”Most Promising Young Talent” award inU-15 category in State level organised by Derick chess Association for securing 4th place.
2. Many more prizes in school and Taluk level in chess.

Akash has represented his school (Vivekananda English Medium High School Puttur) in the Science Quiz and won the 1st Prize in State Level Competition and Won 2nd place in Science Quiz in South Zone level conducted by Vidyabharti in Ballary.

Secured III Place representing the school in CAN-Quiz conducted by CANARA BANK in which 110 teams participated.

Akash has been a brilliant student having academic excellence (scored 93% in SSLC Board Examination – 2008)
