ಬಂಟ್ವಾಳ ತಾಲೂಕು ಶಿವಳ್ಳಿ ಸಂಗಮವು ದಿನಾಂಕ ೨೬/೦೧/೧೯೯೮ ರಂದು ವಿಟ್ಲದ ಶ್ರೀ ಮಹಾಲಿಂಗೇಶ್ವರ ದೇವಾಲಯದ ಸಭಾಂಗಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಮಂಚಿ ನಾರಾಯಣ ಆಚಾರ್ಯರ ದಿವ್ಯ ಹಸ್ತದಿಂದ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನೆಗೊಂಡಿತು. ನಮ್ಮ ತಾಲೂಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ೨೧೧ ನಮ್ಮವರ ಮನೆಗಳಿದ್ದು ಸುಮಾರು ೧೦೫೦ ಮಂದಿ ಇರುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಇಂದು ಉದ್ಯೋಗನಿಮಿತ್ತ

ಚೈತ್ರಮಾಸದ ಶುಕ್ಲನವಮಿಯಂದು ಶ್ರೀರಾಮನವಮೀ. ಭಗವಂತ ಶ್ರೀರಾಮನಾಗಿ ಅವತರಿಸಿದ ದಿನವಿದು. ಭಗವಂತ ಅವತರಿಸುವಾಗ ಚೈತ್ರನವಮಿಯಂದು ಪುನರ್ವಸು ನಕ್ಷತ್ರವಿದ್ದು ಮೇಷಮಾಸ ನಡೆದಿತ್ತು. ಇಂದಿಗೂ ಇವೆಲ್ಲಾ ಒಟ್ಟುಸೇರಿದರೆ ಅದು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಪರ್ವಕಾಲ. ಅಂದರೆ ಚೈತ್ರಶುಕ್ಲನವಮಿಯಂದು ಪುನರ್ವಸು ನಕ್ಷತ್ರವಿದ್ದು ಸೂರ್ಯನು ಮೇಷದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದರೆ ಈ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಯೋಗವು ಕೋಟಿಸೂರ್ಯಗ್ರಹಣಕ್ಕಿಂತ

ತುಳುನಾಡಿನ ಶಿವಳ್ಳಿ ಗ್ರಾಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಥಮವಾಗಿ ಬಂದು ನೆಲೆಸಿದ ಶಿವಳ್ಳಿಯೂ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಒಟ್ಟು ೩೨ ಗ್ರಾಮಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಯೂರಿದರು. ಅವರು ಯಾವ್ಯಾವ ಗ್ರಾಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವ್ಯಾವ ವೈದಿಕ ವೃತ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರತರಾಗಿದ್ದರು ಎ೦ಬುದನ್ನು ನಿರೂಪಿಸುವ ಗ್ರಂಥಕ್ಕೆ “ಗ್ರಾಮ ಪದ್ಧತಿ” ಎ೦ದು ಹೆಸರಾಯಿತು. ಈ ಗ್ರಾಮಗಳನ್ನು ಪೂರ್ವ ಷೋಡಶ
