    I am planning Kolkotta trip, to have darshan of Sri Kali Matha in Calcutta, both places Kalighat Mandir as well as Dakshineswar Kali temple. My date of journey starts from 15th November, and my stay will be on 16th and 17th November, 2015, the accommodation for my wife and myself.

16. I have unfortunately misplaced the contact no & the contact person’s no of Pejawar/Palimar mutt (recently inaugarated by his holiness swamiji in dec 2014 )at TIRUPATI.

    SOME FACTS ABOUT SRI MADHWA MATHA, 63, MEERAGALLI, DARAGANJ, ALLAHABAD(U.P.) 244006

    I would like to share some of the facts, I experienced at the above Matha.
    Mr. Lakshminarayanachar, stationed at Allahabad, does not have decency in talking. If someone asks for some clarification, he says, he will consult Mr. Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India, and convey, whatever he informs. Does he has the capacity to talk to Mr. Modi, at least he should be informed to mend his ways and talk to people in a proper way.

    Apart from the above, I was told by the rikshaw fellows that Mr. Lakshminarayanachar takes commission on all transactions including Boats.

    Initially I did not believe. However, I had to believe when he said the Rikshaw charges per Rikshaw are Rs. 500/- from station to the Matha and Rs. 500/- from Matha to station. On informing that the same is available at Rs. 200/- per Rikshaw, the rates were reduced to Rs. 250/- per side. I do not know, what it means. And from Matha to the riverside (and returning to Matha) for taking boat to Sangama, he charges Rs. 100/- per head. Whereas, I travelled at Rs. 35/- per head.

    If the money is going to Matha, it is OK to some extent, though not reasonable.

    He also told me that I do not have “LOKAGYANA”. Yes, I do agree that I do not have “LOKAGYANA” in making money as I am trying to serve middle class and lower middle class people who cannot afford to travel through Travel Agents. And as a matter fact, I do not even allow people to fund my travel expenses, though, I travel every year alongwith them to help them.

    I paid on 11/10/2016, Rs. 25000/- for which he has issued receipt No. 46, of Shri Puranbodha Trust Shri Madhwa Matha, Prayag.

    Last year, I think, on 18/10/2015, I paid Rs. 25000/- for which no receipt was issued. Please verify if the same has been accounted for.

    I do not know, if the Swamiji stationed at Allahabad is aware of these facts.

    Every year I conduct this type of tour, and wish the Matha caters to the need of poor people. I have nothing more to add. I only, pray that the authorities will take appropriation action in order to save the name of the Matha.

    I sent umpteen e-mails to alimarumatha.org but did not get any reply. Kindly intimate me.

    Having said that, it would be in your best interests to contact the administrative office of Palimar Mutt (either Udupi or Palimar) via phone and speak of your experience. I suggest this because there are chances that emails might be lost/ignored.

    I wish your grievances will be considered by the Mutt and appropriate action taken.
